Environmental Responsibility Statement

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive

An example of Respironics’ environmental compliance is adherence to the European Community’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. The Directive (2002/9/6) addresses the prevention of waste electrical and electronic equipment, as well as the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of such waste. The intent of the Directive is to reduce the disposal of waste in Europe. Operating facilities in a variety of European communities, Respironics works to meet all applicable standards put forth in this directive.
